Gatsby's Joint Fort Lauderdale - Restaurant Review Page
According to the website gatsbysjoints.com the local restaurant is either owned by or managed by a former caviar salesman Steve Shtivelman and Elaine Krieger who was owner of second hand stores in the Chicagoland area.  Both are foodies and have conjured up quite an interesting concept with Gatsby's Joint.  We are looking forward to Speakeasy Foodie events including caviar tastings, craft charcuterie courses and cooking classes.  In fact the website has an online store already purveying many fine ingredients.  The menu includes an Argentinian cooked "un-ceviche" shrimp, Pittsburgh steak with wild shrooms, smoked duck breast tacos and even a caviar tasting made to order including: paddlefish, kaluga and every foodies favorite - OSETRA!  The cocktail selection includes gems from the non-forgotten era of Chicago pinstripes and prohibition;  The Corpse Reviver, The South Side Fizz, The Mary Pickford, Gin Rickey and of course the Bee's Knees.  What foodie speakeasy would not be complete without truffles for dessert?  For what they offer the prices do look to be reasonable. They will be open till past mighnight 7 nights a week as well.
